The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that he will not
meet with the Prime Minister for discussing about the Administrative
Reform.
Basha declared that the government must show real political will for consensus, rather than asking dialogue for political show. He said that for Albania to receive the European Union candidate status, Rama must implement the Constitutional Court verdicts.
“The Democratic Party, the opposition and I, appeal the Prime Minister and his majority to implement the Constitutional Court verdicts regarding the Civil Employee law and for the National Inspectorate of Urban Construction. They must implement the court verdicts for returning jobs back to public employees who were unfairly replaced. A government which fails to implement court verdicts sues itself as an anti-democratic government. The majority should remove from the Parliament’s agenda all the arbitrary projects for the Civil Employee and Audiovisual Media Authority, rather than postponing them. The opposition despises the blackmail game of postponing every project, draft-law and law which have been approved before and which fall against the consensual nature, against the law and Constitution. The majority must withdraw definitively from attacks against the President and independent institutions, and from arbitrarily taking the competences which belong to the President, such as with the replacement of the leader of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets. The government must stop their revenge against independent institutions and trying to put them under their political control through intimidation or anticonstitutional cutting of their mandates”, Basha declared.
