Opposition leader: “We will not negotiate. Interim government for elections”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met with women protesters
inside the tent that the opposition placed in front of the Prime
Minister’s Office.

“A country has no future if it falls in the pit of crime, drugs and manipulated elections. There will be no elections without an interim government. They must listen to the citizens’ voice, otherwise the manifestation of February 18th will be twice bigger and the popular wave will not stop”, Basha said.

The Democratic Party leader added that what started this Saturday “will go on day and night, because it is the start of a big hope, the hope that Albanians will decide for their own fate through democracy”.

“Free and fair elections. This is the decision of Albanians, and it will be implemented. There can be free and fair elections only without this government that is tied to crime”, Basha said.
