The opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, visited a family in Farka e Vogel
where the father committed suicide after his electricity was cut.
The opposition leader said that it happened because the Distribution System Operator refused to let them pay the debt with an installment of 20.000 or 30.000 ALL, but remdanded a 70.000 ALL installment.
Basha said this was a criminal behavior by the state, and that the Democratic Party will give a modest aid to the family, knowing that is not a solution.
“Charity is not a solution. The solution is a righteous government that thinks about its people, not a criminal two-faced government that pays 5 million EUR for their luxury”, Basha declared.
According to the opposition leader, it is time for the Albanian people to rise against injustices.
“We must rise as free people and give to this government the answer they deserve, through the strength of the sovereign”, Basha concluded.
