The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, told businesses that the
current economic model built by the government will be dismantled
together with what he calls “the old republic”.
The Democratic Party leader promised that the opposition would lower taxes and let businesses breathe.
“We will have a 9% flat tax, a 15% VAT. A total formalization of the market”, Basha promised.
But what will happen with the protest? Basha answered with terms loaned from Donald Trump’s campaign: “From today, and until we win this European cause for free and fair elections, Albania comes first, comes before the photographic albums with leaders of Europe and the West. We will not go back. Democracy demands this sacrifice”, he said.
