“After more than one year of negotiations and efforts, faced with a lack of good will from the majority and with huge persistence from the opposition, we concluded today the legal framework for cleaning politics from crime. Now the challenge remains at the implementation of this law”, Basha said.

The DP leader mentioned the justice reform for which he underlined the need to find consensus and follow the recommendations of the Venice Commission.

Deputy Secretary Gozi said that the rule of law remains a key evaluation of the EU to Albania’s integration process. “It is a request that cannot be negotiated and that Italy fully supports”, Goci underlined, adding that the issues raised by the DP leader are concerning, and he guaranteed that the international community will pay attention to them.
