Opposition leader: “Our economy keeps getting worse”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the recent Bank of
Albania economic figures confirmed that the economic crediting in July
has dropped with 0.3%, compared to one year ago.
“This is due to the 1.7% drop of crediting for businesses. Compared to one year ago, the situation gets worse with each month. Crediting dropped in July with 0.5%, compared to June. This is due to the 1.2% drop of business crediting. This means lower investments, fewer jobs, less consumption and less production. All signs that our economy and our business have entered the new cycle of a huge crisis. In May and June only, 4000 businesses have interrupted their activity. The lower crediting is the strongest signal of mistrust and panic that has overwhelmed our economy and business”, Basha writes.
The opposition leader underlines that our economy and honest business is about to go bankrupt. “Our economy and businesses are facing a slow down, because they have to confront two illegal realities, the government corruption and business, and the drug business. The honest business is about to go bankrupt because all bids, concessions and money of the Albanian people are taken by a group of oligarch, who are close friends of Edi Rama. The Prime Minister keeps boasting in front of the camera, while the business economy is going to dust”, Basha said.
