Opposition leader on Justice Reform: “International partners recommend, we decide”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, announced a few moments
before Rama that the consensus for the justice reform had been reached,
after a formulation proposed by Commissioner Hahn for the role of the
international partners in the vetting process.

“I concluded an intensive communication with the European and American partners. After the recommendation from Commissioner Hahn, we agreed that the role of the International Mission will be as a recommendation, and the final decision-making will be completely up to the people of Albania”, Basha said.
