The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said they will see a real
possibility of raising the minimum wage, which is their draft-program.
He said that the current majority is creating only imaginary jobs.
“More than 75.000 public administration employees were fired from September to October 2015. The government is declaring 30.000 vacancies in the Prime Minister’s office only, 200.000 at the Ministry of Social Welfare. These imaginary jobs might get higher in a few weeks. The DP departments have finalized the development draft-programs that we will consult with our social partners, businesses and syndicates. We will calculate the real possibilities, especially for the minimal payment, which is a reference for payments”, Basha said.
The DP was present in the meeting that marked the 25th anniversary of the creation of Independent Syndicates.
