Opposition leader appeals for protests

The opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the budget is missing 231
million USD for the past nine months and 35 million for September.

“More than 1 million a day have been stolen in the month of the fight against informality. There is no operation against informality. There is a mafia style effort to cover robberies. Where are 231 million USD?”, Basha asked.

He answered to this question by warning that October will also have a big budget gap related to what he calls robbing of the country by Edi Rama’s government and his clients.

“The most informal person is Edi Rama, with a 56 meter long vila in Surrel for which he hasn’t shown any sale receipt yet. But we will see that for the villas in Dardha and Durrese he has not paid any tax at all. He is the king of informality. Edi Rama is the problem”, Basha declared.

The opposition leader had a direct accusation for a concessionary given to his brother, Olsi Rama.

“He has received 500 hectares in Spitalla to develop them without any tax. He is trying to cover this corruptive affair”, Basha declared.

Lulzim Basha mentioned a document published in the media, showing how Socialist Party representatives appoint their people at the Tax Directory.

Basha says that citizens have lost trust to their promises, but there is still hope to react together with the opposition, even for bringing the government down.
