Opposition: Internationals must intervene

Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, asked the international community to
intervene in Albania before it’s too late, in order to stop the election
masquerade and the violation of innocent people.

Rama accused Albania’s Prime Minister of inspiring violence against protesters, more concretely, against two young brothers who participated in yesterday’s protest and today are in hospital, due to wounds taken after police violence.

“Police leaders will maintain direct responsibility for violence, if they do not bring to justice those who have beaten the two boys”, Rama said.

The Socialist leader declared that if Prime Minister will not stop, the opposition will not recognize the government, the Parliament and his institutions, but only the country’s Constitution.

Thanking the International Community and the United States for their messages, Rama asked them to intervene, for not letting Albania fall in the dangerous abyss where Prime Minister Berisha is pushing it.

“We won these elections with a close but clear and clean result. We have been and we still are ready to act on Albania’s best interest”, Rama declared.
