One day after the Administrative Court suspended the testing of nurses,
the opposition asked the resignation of the Health Minister, Ilir Beqaj.

“He is the only Minister that has been sentenced by the Constitutional Court for illegal profits with the state budget, profits which are constantly going in his pockets and those of his clients”, declared the Democratic Party MP, Albana Vokshi.

“The situation in our health care system can be considered a national emergency. 36% of doctors, 28% of pharmacists and 52% of dentists have not been able to receive in five years the credits that have been assigned when the process started, and they cannot continue their profession of they do not undergo a recertification process within six months”, Beqaj declared.

The accusations of the opposition came mainly through the former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, which were mostly against the government but also the Socialist MP, Koco Kokedhima.

The opposition raised another issue in the Parliament, which they called “elimination of mayors before elections”.

Although most of the opposition’s accusations were addressed to the Prime Minister, he didn’t reply back.
