Opposition appoints Ad-Hoc Committee members for High Councils of Prosecution and Judiciary

Oerd Bylykbashi was appointed by the Democratic Party parliamentary group as member and vice chairman of the ad-hoc committee that will appoint the members of the High Councils of Prosecution and Judiciary.

The Socialist Movement for Integration has appointed Nasip Naco while the Socialist Party has not made the names public yet.

The Democratic Party will present its opinion about what they consider a problem in this process.

The Commission of Laws has approved the regulation for appointing the members of the high Councils of Prosecution and Judiciary. The ad-hoc Committee that will appoint the members of these important institutions was approved with only the votes of the majority. The opposition was present at this meeting but chose to abstain.

One day ago the majority refused the opposition’s proposition to make constitutional amends to resolve the political crisis created after the appointing of the Provisory Prosecutor General with only the votes of the majority.
