The “Open Society Foundation”, or as it is known otherwise, the Soros Foundation, reacted after the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, accused its founder, Goerge Soros, of interfering with the political developments in Albania.
As response to an enquiry made by the Voice of America, the Head of Communication at the Open Society Foundations in Tirana, said that they are proud of the role that they have played together with the USA and EU in supporting the judiciary reform, and that they don’t understand the declaration of President Meta, since he had invited them for a meeting.
