10 days after deciding to reopen vacancies for the vetting process bodies, Parliament has abolished this decision, leaving the Ombudsman to check a list of just 79 candidates, all of whom fulfill formal criteria but lack some kind of certificate to prove what they have written in their CVs is true.
Top Channel learned the Ombudsman had resisted Parliament for the decision to reopen vacancies as an unconstitutional action, with the chairman of the Laws Commission Fatmir Xhafaj confirming his concern.
Now that the International Monitoring Operation has certified only 21 candidates for 27 positions, the only hope for the process not to encounter other complications is for some of the 79 candidates who have had positive reviews to present their missing documentations.
