After the Justice Reform, the High Council of Justice, which presides
over both the Judiciary and the Prosecution systems, will be replaced by
two specific institutions, the High Council of Prosecution and the High
Council of the Judiciary.
The application deadline for the High Council of Judiciary expires this Monday, when the applications will be sent to the Parliament.
Ulsi Manja, former member of the Justice Reform Commission, encourages candidates to file their applications as soon as possible, since the procedure will be very strict.
However, sources from the Parliament said for Top Channel that the number of applications is lower than the number of candidates who will be accepted.
The Council will have five members in total, but only three candidates have filed their applications so far. Sources from the majority see it with concern, although they feel it is somewhat normal, since others might be measuring the pulse of the situation before applying in the last minute.
This Monday is the last chance, and we will see if the Justice Reform will be facing another major problem, the lack of people for the new institutions.
