The Albanian Union of Judges expressed their regret that one year after
the murder of their colleague, Skerdilajd Konomi, nothing was made for
finding the killers.
“On 9 September 2012 it will be one year since Judge Skerdilajd Konomi was killed. Justice lost an honored Judge, capable and very courageous. His family lost the dearest man and the judges lost their friend, while the society received a significant hit in the safety and daily life”, the declaration says.
“The Union regrettably notes that nothing has been made for resolving this crime. This is not a good sign for justice and our society in general”, the press release continues.
The judges appeal the authorities to intensify the researches for discovering the authors of the murder of Judge Skerdilajd Konomi or the persons who ordered it.
“This would comfort the family and the society, but above all it would be a mission for bringing more hopes, more public safety and more justice in our country”, the declaration ended.
