The heavy traffic on Tirana’s main boulevard was replaced by a huge
crowd who celebrated the Summer Day on this warm weather that couldn’t
be more appropriate.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, joined the celebrations by returning to his old passion, basketball. Rama played for around 30 minutes with several former basketball players. He stopped his game for a moment to state:
“Happy Summer’s Day to everyone. I cannot hide the joy that our team of 30 years ago was able to beat two teams of today. This is a great consolation for our old years that go by. The mixing of the energy and passion of these young people with our experience was definitely something valuable for them”, Rama declared.
A few minutes before the Prime Minister arrived, Tirana Municipality leaders declared that the basketball field was for the performance of some children, as part of the agenda organized by the Municipality. They moved this activity a few meters away.
Tirana’s pedestrian street turns into an exhibition

“Qualitative goods have been produced around the Albanian lands to guarantee better and authentic services. This is a benefit not only for the Albanian citizens, but it could be a nice export brand, which would show the quality Albanian products in our region, in Europe and around the world”, Basha declared.
