Private company damages network. CEZ asks government to intervene
One third of Tirana is without energy today, including the Sanatorium Hospital.
CEZ Distribution says that the cause of this is a private company that is working for the construction of a road at the Farka Lake.
“The areas of Farka, Ish-Uzina Traktori, Qyteti Studenti, Komuna e Parisit, Stadium Qemal Stafa, Ambasada Amerikane, Rruga Budi and Rruga e Elbasanit have had energy problems”, says Petrit Shkembi, chief engineer of CEZ Distribution.
CEZ Distribution asked the state authorities to take measures as soon as possible and not allow abusive companies or individuals to block their work and leave the consumers without energy.
“We made an official report two days ago. The same thing was repeated today. The company has damaged the network, and the residents are again without energy”, Shkembi declared.
It took five hours to CEZ Distribution specialists to fix the damage. The police arrived on the scene to identify the damage caused by the construction company.
