“One people, one dream”, joint meeting of Kosovo and Albania held today in Korca

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, met today in Korca with both government cabinets to sign 12 important cooperation agreements between both countries. Both Prime Ministers appeared in a joint press release after the meeting.

Strong security measures were taken today in Korca, as the meeting was held at the “Flag House”, one of Korca’s symbolic homes, full of historic values, which was reconstructed just a few months ago.

Ministers of both governments presented key points of the agreement that were  signed between PM Edi Rama and Ramush Haradinaj.

Before the meeting, the Kosovo cabinet visited Korca’s museums, while they were accommodated at a hotel near Korca’s old market.

Under the motto “One people, one dream”, the Rama and Haradinaj governments discussed a series of cooperation agreements.

“This meeting continues the tradition started in Prizren. There is still much to do, but what has been done in these meetings is not small. The tradition of these meetings is productive. We have structured are working process by establishing a joint secretariat”, Rama said.

The Prime Minister said it was regrettable that the Kosovo-Albania electricity inter-connection line could not be made functional, as an important strategic axis.

Rama said that trade exchange between both countries has increased five-fold, but the challenge between both governments is to increase it even more.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo said that the Skanderbeg Year represents the Euro-Atlantic dream of the Albanian people. He promised to deepen cooperation between both countries.

“Making Kosovo stronger also accelerates the cooperation between our countries”, Haradinaj declared.
