The OMONIA leadership recommended the United for Human Rights Party to
freeze the resignation of its high-rank official posts until the meeting
of the General Council of Omonia and UHRP, in which they will decide
for the future of the governing coalition.
The leadership of the Omonia organization that was gathered in Saranda reported through a declaration the non-democratic climate that prevailed during the discussion of the territorial reform in Parliament.
The proposition for the administrative borders with all the amends included in the last minutes did not fulfill any of the requests of Omonia for Himara, Lukova and special villages like Cuka.
“The rhetoric of the Prime Minister showed that the government is still hostage of the humarn right violation practices for the minorities, and it is characterized by nationalistic and totalitarian mindsets of the past”, Omonia declares.
The Omonia leadership declared that they support the stance of Mr.Vangjel Dule in the discussion of the draft law, and greeted MP Vangjel Tavo for his stance. They expressed their regret for the actions of the other minority MPs.
