The Ombudsman appreciated the report of the US State Department regarding the human right respect in Albania.
The Torture Prevention Unit Director in this institution, Jorida Rustemi, underlined that this report should be translated into a raised awareness of the Albanian institutions to focus on the citizens and their rights.
“The US State Department report is a deep analyze of the human rights in Albania. Many issues raised in this report have been verified by our institution. This document is an extraordinary instrument of support for the civil socieety”, Rustemi declared.
