“Oligarks will face citizens”

Same as in Parliament, where the former Prime Minister hinted the new stance of the Democratic Party regarding the Investigative Commission for the drug traffic accusations with the structures of the Armed Forces, Basha appealed that the Commission should continue its work with other investigative instances.

“The Albanians cannot live anymore with the organized crime which is not being hit, but according to our secure information, it has been able to use the assets of the Armed Forces for their crimes. If we wouldn’t report this shame right away, and if we didn’t bring to justice everyone who is part of this and allowed this to happen, the state has come to an end. Let’s sensibilize the citizens for a strong popular reaction, that the Rama-Meta duo is not taking seriously”, Basha declared.

The Democratic Party leader mentioned the government’s decision to remove the competences of the President for selecting the Director of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets, and passing this competence to the Parliament. Basha considered this an effort of the majority to hid its adversaries.

“With yesterday’s act, the Rama-Meta duo admitted the role of the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets in the fight against corruption and turned it into a tool for attacking their adversaries”, he said.

Another clash between the majority and the opposition is the territorial-administrative reform. Both parties accuse each other of refusing consensus. The majority changed the commission’s format this Tuesday, after the opposition refused to join the proposition.

“In the week of constant hits against the Constitution and Consensus, the Rama-Meta duo decided to ignore our appeals to work with consensus for the administrative-territorial reform and continued with their unilateral commission. They are starting it without us and without consensus. We are starting with the citizens to face oligarky”, Basha declared.
