The former Minister of Defense, a Democratic Party MP and a
construction engineer, Gazmend Oketa, made another declaration against
the demolition of the Pyramid, considering it an object of architectural
values.
The declaration was made during the meeting with the Durres Youth Parliament, on the International Day of Youth. The Durres youth commented the demolition of the Pyramid as a mentality of the past, and asked the opinion of the former-student of December 1990 about its demolition.
MP Oketa brought his memories from December 1990, and declared that after 21 years, the country has made very visible changes, but there is still much to do for realizing the European dream.
He invited the Durres youth to join the dream “For a better city and a better Albania”, advising them to engage in politics in a more mature age, and not treat it as fans of football teams.
