The short-term observing mission of the OSCE, and leaders of the
Parliamentary Delegations of the OSCE and the Council of Europe, who
will observer the June 23rd elections in Albania, appeal all political
parties to use the remaining days to engage in a constructive process
and guarantee a normal election development.
“The electoral administrative institutions should be able to function independently from the electoral campaign, guaranteeing that the democratic will of voters will be respected by the political parties and will be implemented by the authorities. The legal appeals should not block the critical work of the democratic institutions”, underlined a joint declaration of Roberto Battelli, Joao Soares and Luca Volonte.
400 observes demanded by ODIHR will follow the elections this Sunday. 300 of them have already arrived, while the monitoring mission this Sunday will be observed by difference countries, including the United States of America.
