For Muslims, a visit to Mecca is obligatory at least once in their lives
for those who have financial and physical abilities. Several Albanian
devotees have visited it this year, led by Skender Brucaj, Head of the
Muslim Community, and Ilir Hoxholli, former Director of State Committee
of Cults.
In an interview for Top Channel, he said that the Albanian citizens who are visiting Mecca have followed a different path from that of the accident, because the Albanian groups respect the timetables decided by organizers.
There are around 400 Albanian visitors, 320 from Albania, 80 from Montenegro and 80 from Bosnia.
