NATO encourages Albania to increase security spending, according to the
General Secretary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Jens
Stoltenberg.
“This keeps Albania safe and NATO strong”, he said in a joint conference with President Bujar Nishani.
“The efforts for the NATO reforms were the security challenges, which we value as an answer to the new security environment. Albania has decided to increase the spending this year and I encourage this. This keeps Albania safe and NATO strong”, Stoltenberg said.
President NIshani said that Albania supports the open-door NATO policy and welcomes countries such as Montenegro and Macedonia.
Stoltenberg said that the main message is the cooperation for stabilization of countries such as Iraq, Syria and Africa.
