The newly elected President of Albania, Bujar Nishani, gave his resignation from the Democratic Party today.
This decision comes after his election as President and in full accordance with the Constitutional regulation which provides that the President should not be a member of any political party.
Nishani underlined that he will be a President outside any political influence and will represent the interests of the citizens and our nation.
