The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, sent a congratulation message to
his French counterpart, François Hollande, giving France the warmest and
friendliest wishes, and praised the excellent relations between the two
countries and two peoples, as a deep gratitude for the support that
France has given to the development of democracy.
“France has always inspired the Albanian culture and education. After the establishing of democracy, France has also contributed in consolidating the rule of law and democratic institutions in Albania. Thanks to this contribution, my country is a NATO member today and EU candidate”, Nishani declared.
Nishani guaranteed that Albania will show dedication in its European integration path and for fulfilling the necessary standards that will open the accession negotiations as soon as possible.
