Nishani: “Albania committed to achieve climate objectives”

President Bujar Nishani said at the Climate Conference in Paris that
Albania is ready to work for reducing greenhouse-effect emissions.
“Albania is in a unique position as regards low gas emissions since 1/3rd of the energy comes from renewable sources. The greenhouse-effect gas emission rate in Albania is 1.4 ton per capita. Despite these advantages, the Albanian authorities approved and handed over the Intended Nationally Determined Contribution within the deadlines of the Convention. The national contribute will have a direct influence in reviewing the development of various sectors of the economy and will decide the decarbonization as a new development path”, Nishani declared.
Taking advantage of this moment, the Head of State expressed the solidarity of Albania for the French people after the attacks of November 13th.
