Ruben Saraiva, the suspected killer of Ardian Nikulaj, had just arrived in Morocco, after leaving Greece, when he was identified and arrested near the airport.
Other details have been revealed from the detention of the portuguese who is suspected of executing businessman Ardian Nikulaj in Shengjin on April 19.
Journalist Dorjana Bezat reports that during the communication with the blue uniforms, Saraiva submitted the documents with a different identity. The police verified that the documents were forged and detained the portuguese, subsequently notifying Interpol Tirana.
Albania does not have an extradition agreement with Morocco, but given the fact that the murderer is not a moroccan citizen, the states can carry out the extradition. The process can only be complicated if Saraiva seeks asylum.
The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezha, with the decision of April 26, has set the security measure “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offenses “Murder for blood feud” and “Unauthorized production and possession of military weapons and ammunition”.
The four arrested a few days ago in London, accused of involvement in the businessman’s murder, are Edmond Haxhia, Stephen Hunt, Thomas Mithan and Harriet Bridgeman, while Harry Simpson is still on the run.
They were captured during an operation coordinated by the State Police in collaboration with the English Metropolitan Police and the agency against organized crime, known as the English FBI, NCA.
