The National Food Authority has taken measures for preventing abuses with meat of animal carcasses after floods.

The regional authorities of Fier and Vlore have drafted a measure plan for preventing the abuses with these animals.

“In order to prevent any possible case of abuse, the Food Authority inspectors in Fier and Vlore have joined the police road blocks and other working groups, such as the Director of Agriculture or the Health Inspectorate, with the purpose to prevent any abuse. The authorities have inspected small and big meat businesses”, said the Head of the Fier Food Authority, Frederik Cuko, and the one of Vlore, Renato Bushaj.

They say that no cases of abuse have been found so far, while the inspections will continue until no more carcasses are found on the surface.
