The National Food Authority declared that they have increased the food inspections during summertime.
The director Genc Juka said that they have been focusing on the production stability, the manipulations and the trade of food products, stores, super-markets, bars and restaurants, especially in tourist places.
According to NFA, in the period June-July they have made more than 4000 inspections in 12 districts, where they have blocked and eliminated more than 25 tons of food products.
NFA declared that they have suspended 20 subjects and have fined 18 others due to the violations that were identified during the controls.
