Igli Totozani presented his direction philosophy for the new assignment as the Albanian Ombudsman.
During the presentation with the staff, Totozani declared that the challenge for this role is making it a more active institution that doesn’t wait for the citizens to come with their requests, but that goes and finds the citizens whose rights have been violated.
According to Totozani, the main goal of this institution is to guarantee the protected rights of the citizen, free from political influences and with the only goal to protect the citizens’ rights.
The Ombudsman was presented by the Parliament’s vice Speaker, Namik Dokle, who declared that Totozani had an excellent and transparent competition, with many intellectuals running for the role.
Mr. Dokle felicitated Totozani for the new duty.
