The inauguration ceremony of the new Prishtina International Airport
“Adem Jashari” has gathered the Prime Ministers of Kosovo, Albania and
Turkey.

Hashim Thaci, Edi Rama and Taip Erdogan cut the tape that symbolized the opening of new spaces at Prishtina’s airport, for which the Turkish-French consortium invested a total of 140 million EUR.

Since the airport has been given through concession to the Turkish “Limak and Calik” company, the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Taip Erdogan, declared that the common history and culture of the Albanian and Turkish people makes the Turkish investments grow even more in Kosovo.

Erdogan spoke about the bloody history of Balkan, which, according to him, must change.

“We must take measures so that our children do not suffer same as our fathers”, Erdogan declared, adding that the new history cannot be based on the suffering of the past.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, shared the memories of his first flight from Tirana, and that he inaugurated the Kosovo airport in 1998 with the flight to Rambouillet.

The Albanian Prime Minister had the privilege to be the first guest to sit in the airport of the new terminal.

“This is another chance to be proud and grateful for Kosovo and my friend, who today is Prime Minister of the Albanians in Kosovo, for giving me the honor to be invited as Prime Minister of the Albanians in Albania”, Rama declared.
