The Mëzez msoque in Tirana had its self-proclaimed imam arrested for
hate speech. Now he will be replaced by a renowned imam of the Albanian
Muslim Community.
The Mufti of Tirana, Ylli Gurra, officialized the religious activity in this cult object that was suspected for its financial resources, but more than that, about what was being preached there.
“We had problems in having an official imam that would be responsible for any concern that would come from the municipality. The responsible now is the imam that we just appointed”, Gurra said.
The Mufti of Tirana says that after officializing this object, only one mosque remains in Tirana that has not been legalized, and it is that of the Unaza e Re. Mr.Gurra didn’t exclude that in some cult objects there have been hate speeches and encouragement for violence.
