The Parliament discussed this Thursday the draft-law for higher
education. The Head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Edi Paloka, accused
the majority of drafting the law unilaterally.

The Head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Gramoz Ruci, answered by saying that the opposition chose to give no contribution to the law.

“It is not a responsibility of the majority if the opposition MPs to block the work and do not contribute. They had four months to review the law”, Ruci declared.

According to him, the Education Commission has made a marathon work with hearing sessions with all interest groups.

Ruci said that the majority is ready to discuss the law with the opposition.

The former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, said that the draft law is an attempt against the public universities, against Europe, and turns private universities into state properties”, Berisha declared.
