New Employment Offices

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the premises and advised the new staff:
“There are plenty of job seekers. We should let employers get as much information as they can, so that we can increase the efficiency of this meeting point”.

“The National Employment Service Offices are seen as meetings between the private businessmen and the government, making the intermediation easier. Although the opening of these offices is a good start, it is not enough”, Rama declared.

“There is another thing in Kavaja which needs to be underlined. There are 2855 unemployed girls and women looking for a job. The government cannot be the biggest employer. That should be the private enterprising. Three new offices opened in three months have enabled the employment of 1055 people. The entire national employment network in Albania has intermediated for 600 people. We have a daily average of 3000 jobs in these three offices, which now have a fourth place of meeting”, Rama added.

The Prime minister stated that unemployment in Kavaja will drop with the construction of an industrial area which will serve as a development platform for investments in the manufacturing industry.

Minister Veliaj considered the opening of this new office as a window of many opportunities. Luan Bregasi, President of Business Albania, declared that these offices regulate the work market and are turning into a huge help for the employers.

Producing businessmen: We need specialists

Erion Veliaj, Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, visited a factory that produces mattresses for the foreign and Kosovo market. The owner of this factory expressed the need of qualified employees.

“We need specialists for the production of industrial foam”, one businessman says.

“We are trying to open the professional education schools so that we can employ people where they are needed”, Veliaj declared.
