The new employment office in Elbasan will be one more chance for the unemployed to find a job.
Elbasan is the third district for the highest number of unemployed, and the third for the welfare payment levels.
Besides building a new connection between the state and businesses and increasing professional education as an important instrument for employing the youth, the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, presented data which according to him show an increased trust of citizens in finding adequate jobs through these offices.
“Three times more requests have arrived from businesses in only few weeks than during the entire past year. These requests come from businesses looking for people who are ready to work. The monthly average of vacancies for 2013 was 1348. This number went to 2508 only in the past months, and it tends to increase”, Rama declared.
Only 600 people were employed during 2013 throughout the country, a number that has been doubled in the first months of this year only for the offices of Tirana, Durres and Vlore. The employment requests have tripled in Durres, from 400 that was the monthly average for the past year.
Considering unemployment as one of the major challenges of this government, the government leader declared that everyone must be clear that the government is the biggest employer in our country.
“The government should encourage private businesses and transform them into a strategic partner, and create conditions for better communication between job seekers and employers”, Rama declared.
By expressing his conviction that new employment offices will be a change factor for reducing unemployment, Rama declared that time will be the one proving this.
