New art installation in Tirana, “Mediterranean Home”

Tirana will have a new installation that will be inaugurated this
Saturday. It is a cube called “Mediterranean Home” which is being built
with stainless steal, which deform the urban reality.
It will be empty inside, with just a computer. This is the concept of the Mediterranean Home according to architect Arjon Muharremi.
A contradictory Mediterranean, between the paradox of homes that can be easily found on Air BnB, and on the other hand, refugees that are not being sheltered by anyone.
Muharremi says the project responds to the topic of the Biennale, “Home”.
“I tried to respond to the future, how we are educating through this contemporary paradox the future, what could be the house of the future. I chose Utopia because it gave me intellectual and formal freedom”, Muharremi declared.
