New anti-crime structure has 17 names on its net, seizes armored cars of the crooks

In the first five days of the special OFL operation by the Albanian law enforcement agencies, several properties are seized and paperwork is sent requiring asset declarations of well-known names of the Albanian crime scene.

The operation related to the kidnapping and presumably the murder of Jan Prenga, whose body has not yet been found, has moved north from Tirana to Shkodra, where were seized villas, flats, vehicles as well as land belonging to 7 members of the so-called Dukagjini group, suspected of abducting tha businessman from Rrësheni.

Operation law enforcement seized the armored vehicle of Landi Muharremi, the person who was in the vehicle with Durres prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, when an assassination attempt was carried out against them, as well as the armored vehicle of Durim Bami, convicted of armed robbery.

There were also seized the vehicles of Saimir Taullau, one of the prominent names in the Lushnje crime scene, and Dashamir Gjoka, suspected of human beings trafficking in Italy. These two subjects along with Emiljano Hysenaj and his cousin Edlir Hysenaj, were also required by OFL to declare their asset origin.

Under investigation is also Plarent Dervishi, investigated in Germany for trafficking in human beings and sentenced to life imprisonment for 5 murders, relased later by the Serious Crimes Court, and Suel Çela one of the people originally charged with attempted murder of police officers in connection with the September 2017 incident in Elbasan.

The last name that was sent an asset declaration request by OFL was Arben Isufaj, also known as Ben Qimja, residing in Fier. According to police, he is under investigation in Italy for t “participation in a criminal organization for the purpose of trafficking narcotics”.
