The Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, said that the maritime border negotiation with Greece is not an easy task, and that they are on the right path, but it requires more negotiations.
“As I have underlined before, there is accordance for most of the elements. I think we are on the right track. We have made consultations on a political, diplomatic and technical level. The first round made a few days ago in Tirana had a constructive climate. There will be another round in Greece and another meeting with the Greek counterpart”, Bushati declared.
When asked about the accusations of the opposition regarding this agreement, Bushati said: “This process was started in 2014. We have reviewed international laws. It is a very voluminous case. We agreed to make a righteous agreement with parties not trying to cheat one another”, Bushati said.
