The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that Albania passed a difficult test, despite the stance of the opposition, which, according to him, did not help for the European Commission to recommend the accession negotiations.
“It would be more serious for Albanian politicians to speak together in foreign languages, as representatives of the same people, because Socialists and Democrats have the same opinion about this matter”, Rama said.
The Prime Minister doesn’t speak about the negotiation process deadlines.
“The purpose of the process is to make an Albania with institutions that incorporate the values of Europe we want. The accession depends on us and on Europe. Macron gave an encouraging message, but it was about deep reforms within the EU. These parallel roads are going to be crossed one day. What matters is that the statute of Albania in the eyes of European countries has changed now”, he added.
