This will be a politically calm weekend, at least for the public.
Although everyone is waiting an eventual declaration between the
democrats and the socialists for negotiating the election of the next
president, there will be no negotiations in these two days.
Not because the Socialist Party has refused the meeting with the democratic negotiations, Astrit Patozi and Edmond Spaho, but the head of the Socialist MPs, Gramoz Ruci, is having a visit at his electoral area in Saranda, and things will start moving only this Monday.
Top Channel contacted with the two chairmen of the Parliamentary groups, and democrat Astrit Patozi confirmed that they are waiting an answer from the Socialist Party. On the other hand, Ruci confirmed for Top Channel that if there will be a meeting, it will be made public.
If there will be a meeting this Monday between the government and the opposition about the presidential matter, it means that there are 48 hours of time to negotiate, until Wednesday. Based on experience, this time seems insufficient for agreeing on a consensual candidate that could be voted on the first round of the presidential election.
