The NATO General Secretary, Jens Stoltenberg, said stability in
Western Balkan is very important for the alliance, while attending a
visit in Prishtina.

“KFOR has helped transform Kosovo into a safer country. The Prishtina-Belgrade dialogue will improve the future of Kosovo and of the entire region. I was informed by the EU that there has been progress with the dialogue, but there are still many challenges”, Stoltenberg said.

He underlined that NATO will continue to support the transformation of the Kosovo Special Forces.

When asked if there could be a Crimea-like scenario for Northern Kosovo, Stoltenberg said he would not want to speculate.

Prime Minister Mustafa declared that problems with neighbors will be resolved peacefully.

“As for the wall, we will contact the Ministry of Environment and the Mitrovica Commune, so that it is resolved according our laws. Serb citizens in north will continue without problems, because we will respect the legal structures”, Mustafa said.

As for the train, Mustafa said: “The train came from Belgrade, not from Moscow. It was donated to Serbia, and its departure had the blessing of Belgrade officials. Russia distanced themselves from this event that created concern among Serbian and our citizens too. We don’t want bad relations with Russia or with Serbia. We don’t want that the donations made to Serbia be used for raising tension in Kosovo”, Mustafa said.
