The NATO headquarters has reacted after Klodjan Tanushi, the Albanian military officer who was seriously injured in Latvia, died in hospital.
“It is with great sorrow that yesterday Major Klodjan Tanushi passed away. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children and extended family. After fighting for his life, Major Klodjan Tanushi died from injuries sustained during an EOD task, in the line of duty, on May 6th 2019, which also took the life of Sergeant Zarife Hasanaj. We lost one of our own, a brother in arms. In these times of grief, our thoughts go to his loved ones, friends and colleagues. His life shall be rememberd”.
