The National Council of Territory is discussing 16 points for the last
meeting of 2016, the most important of which was a permit of the Tirana
Municipality for building an underground parking at the Skenderbej
square, which will have a capacity of 300 spots.
This decision comes on the same day when the Tirana Municipality Council discusses the General Local Plan for the capital.
Another decision regards the permit for some oil deposits in the Porto Romano area, Durres, with a capacity from 3 to 10.000 cubic meters for deposits, and another one with 2000 cubic meters for depositing petrol.
Five other discussion points are related to the general local plans funded by USAID in Berat, Fier, Elbasan, Kucova and Lushnja. The drafting of this plan was funded by the Ministry of Urban Development, taking the total number of municipalities to 31. 12 other municipalities will finalize their plans in 2017.
