The Chairwoman of the National Council of Integration, Majlinda Bregu,
said that the government must prepare quickly a strategy for opening the
negotiations.
“On behalf of the National Council of Integration, I Invite the government to consult us as soon as possible, without losing any minute. They need to prepare a document which will be our base for opening the negotiations. The purpose of this council is consultation, after the documents are concluded”, Bregu said.
For Arta Dade, politicians are responsible for the delays in this process.
“This is a new milestone which makes us not only reflect on our achievements, but also on the problems that made this a difficult process. Politics is one of the main reasons that Albania was delayed with the EU membership”, Dade said.
The meeting of the National Council of Integration comes only a few days after the European Commission published the report for Albania and recommended opening negotiations for our country.
