Justice Minister, Nasip Naco, declared this Monday after a meeting held
with the Prosecutor General, Adriatic Llalla, that the reforming of the
High Council of Justice remains a huge challenge and that the situation
of the judiciary is alarming.
Naco referred to the declaration made a few days ago by President Bujar Nishani during the National Judiciary Conference, which, according to the Minister, admits that the judiciary has individuals who have nothing to do with the profession and that they start working by thinking of bribes.
“Besides results, the judiciary also has many problems. The President’s speech says that judges don’t think how to start working in the morning, but how to take bribes. The situation is very difficult when this is said by the Preident, the Chairman of the HCJ. I think there is enough information for having reforms in the Albanian judiciary system, since there are numerous problems”, Naco declared.
