The Minister of Justice, Nasip Naco, declared that the High Council of
Justice held a politically motivated stance on the amends that were
approved one day ago by the Commission of Laws.
“The Material sent to the Minister of Justice for the draft law has nothing to be taken seriously. They had cut political sentences from previous speeches that had nothing to do with the material arrived from the President of the Supreme Court, who is also Chiarman of the National Judiciary Conference”, Naco declared.
The propositions for the changes in the law for the organization and functionality of the HCJ are not anti-constitutional, according to Naco. The Minister of Justice explained the legal amends that have been proposed for the way how are discharged the members appointed by the Parliament at the HCJ.
“When you foresee in a law how a judge is appointed, you should also foresee how he is discharged. If an official violates the Constitution, he should be discharged and answer for the nature of the violation. Our purpose was to deviate this in the future and has nothing to do with today’s names”, Naco declared.
The Minister of Justice challenged the HCJ member, Gjin Gjoni, when he tried to explain his wealth to the Albanian people: “Gjoni is so small and his wealth is so big that he cannot cover it”, Naco declared.
