Hundreds of Thousands of Muslim believers celebrate today Kurban Bayram,
a holiday that is about the sacrifice of men for their belief to God.
Thousands of believers were on Tirana’s main square today for the ritual.
The Muslim Community leader, Skender Brucaj, said that all Muslim believers have commemorated the significance of this celebration, which is forgiveness, harmony and peace among each other.
“Dear brothers and sisters. I wish you a happy Bayram on behalf of the Muslim Community and myself. This is the blessed day of sacrifice for the human perception, but it is much bigger from the divine aspect. It is the day of cooperation and fraternity. The day of gratitude and prosperity that the Holy Good donates to the people through his will and desire. Kurban Bajrami is the day when we heal the wounds that we caused to each other with smiles, love and fraternity”, Brucaj declared.
Another symbol of this celebration is the lamb and distributing his meat to poor families. This dinner concludes with the traditional dinner that unites friends and relatives.
